  • No active infections or antibiotics within 2 weeks of your appointment.
  • No dental work for 2 weeks before your appointment.
  • Do not book filler if you are travelling out of the country within 24 hours of your appointment, so we are nearby if you have any concerns.

  • No alcohol, smoking, cigarettes or vapes for 24 hours before your appointment.

Facial filler aftercare FAQ

Why can’t I travel out of the country within 24 hours of filler?

Complications after filler are rare, but if one happens it needs prompt attention. Staying close for the first 24 hours means we can see you quickly if you have any concerns.

Why do I need to avoid dental work before filler?

Dental work can introduce bacteria and cause inflammation in the area. Waiting 2 weeks between dental work and filler helps lower the risk of infection.

Why should I sleep on my back after filler?

Sleeping on your back for the first 3 nights avoids pressure on the treated area while the filler settles. Fresh pillowcases help keep the area clean.

When can I exercise after facial filler?

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after your filler treatment.

Can I take Tylenol after my treatment?

Yes. Tylenol is OK. Avoid Advil and other blood-thinning medications for 72 hours after your treatment.
