How long does lip filler last?
Results typically last 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used, the amount placed and how your body breaks down filler. Your nurse will suggest when to come back.
Is 0.5 ml of lip filler enough?
Often, yes. A half syringe (0.5 ml) suits a subtle refresh or a first treatment, while a full syringe (1 ml) allows more shape and volume. Your nurse will recommend an amount at your consultation, and you can always build gradually.
Will my lips look natural?
That is our aim. We focus on shape, proportion and balance with the rest of your face, and place filler conservatively so your lips still look and move like yours.
What is the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?
A lip flip uses a small amount of neuromodulator to relax the muscle above the upper lip, so the lip rolls slightly outward. It adds no volume. Lip filler adds shape, volume and hydration. Does lip filler hurt?
The lips are a sensitive area, so you may feel some pinching and pressure. Your nurse will talk you through how we keep you comfortable before you begin.
How long does swelling last after lip filler?
Swelling and some bruising are common and usually improve over the following days. Allow about two weeks for your lips to fully settle, and leave time before a special event. Our lip filler pre-care and aftercare guide has the details.
Can lip filler migrate?
Migration is when filler sits outside the lip border, which can blur the lip line. Careful placement and conservative amounts lower the chance of it. Hyaluronic acid filler can also be dissolved with hyaluronidase if it is ever needed.
